How much does Google Ads management cost?

Ad budget, click prices and management fees in plain language, and packages that differ only in the number of campaigns.

The cost of Google Ads always has two separate parts: the ad budget, which you pay directly to Google, and the management fee for whoever builds and runs the campaigns. This page covers both and explains how to choose the right level for your business.

What makes up the price of Google Ads?

1. The ad budget paid to Google

Google Ads is click-based: you only pay when someone clicks your ad. The click price is set in an auction based on how many other companies want the same search and how good your ad and page are. In the US a click in service industries typically costs a few dollars, and in the most competitive ones (plumbing, HVAC, roofing, legal, dental) it can run to $20 or more.

The ad budget is charged directly to your own Google Ads account. It does not go through our invoicing, so you always see exactly where the money went.

2. The management fee

The management fee covers building the campaigns, maintaining keywords and ads, cutting out wasted searches, tracking and reporting. A well-managed account gets clearly more leads from the same budget than one left on its own, so management pays for itself in the clicks it saves.

The packages differ only in the number of campaigns. A campaign is usually one service or one area with its own budget and ads. The ad budget is at least $1,500 a month and is paid directly to Google.

Why is there a minimum ad budget?

Google Ads learns from data. With a click price of $8, a $1,500 budget gives you about 190 clicks a month. That is enough for one or two services. We recommend $3,000 and up, which gives you about 375 clicks, shows sooner which searches bring leads and which don't, and lets Google's automatic bidding work.

With a smaller budget, so few clicks accumulate that a single good or bad week distorts the whole picture. The management fee then becomes too large a share of the total cost, and nobody can tell whether advertising pays off. That is why we don't take on budgets below the minimum.

Example calculation: a $3,000 budget, an average click price of $8 and 7% of clickers becoming leads gives about 26 leads a month, roughly $143 per lead including management. The numbers vary a lot by industry and location, and we make a precise estimate in the free assessment.
